Swedish Dialogue Launches August 3: A New Era of Knowledge Diplomacy and Innovation Partnership

In a time where global challenges demand collaborative solutions, the Swedish Knowledge & Research Centre (SKRC) proudly unveils a transformative initiative: The Swedish Dialogue — a multi-sector, cross-border platform rooted in Sweden’s tradition of innovation, transparency, and ethical development.

Officially launching on August 3, 2025, the Swedish Dialogue sets the stage for new kinds of cooperation — where academia, commerce, technology, and diplomacy converge. This platform aims to be a living bridge between Sweden and the world, empowering meaningful engagement in science, business, policy, and culture.

“The Swedish Dialogue is more than a forum; it is a long-term strategic framework for international cooperation,” says Dr. Eng. Azmi Al-Eesa, Chairman of SKRC. “It brings Swedish values — openness, innovation, equality — into global knowledge partnerships.”

What Is the Swedish Dialogue?

At its core, the Swedish Dialogue is an evolving knowledge diplomacy ecosystem, designed to nurture long-term, interdisciplinary collaboration among institutions, experts, and communities. Inspired by the Nordic model of development and learning, it will facilitate:

  • Bilateral and multilateral research collaboration
  • Dialogue across academic, economic, and cultural spheres
  • Application of AI and digital tools in scientific and development sectors
  • Joint publications, training programs, and innovation pipelines

It is not a one-time event — it is a strategic, ongoing platform led by SKRC and supported by an expanding network of international partners.

Launching with Purpose: August 3, 2025

The official launch event of the Swedish Dialogue will take place on August 3 at 13:00 CET (GMT+2) via hybrid format. The event includes two major components:

Keynote Address by Dr. Eng. Azmi Al-Eesa

Chairman of SKRC and visionary behind the Swedish Dialogue, Dr. Al-Eesa will articulate the platform’s mission, strategic goals, and its role in shaping ethical global research and innovation alliances.

Expert Lecture

“Supercharge Your Research: A Practical Guide to LLMs for R&D”
Presented by Eng. Saad Muhialdin, Co-Founder and Chief Learning & Development Officer at SKRC, this lecture will offer an applied, real-world framework for integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into modern research workflows.

This session will cover:

  • How researchers can accelerate literature reviews using AI
  • Advanced prompt engineering for academic applications
  • Automating data extraction from technical documents
  • Designing R&D workflows with AI-human collaboration in mind

The event will be moderated by Mary Jow, Chief Operating Officer of Scand Experts Hub, and an active leader in international innovation partnerships.

  • Economy & Trade: Supporting dialogue between entrepreneurs, policy experts, and business councils
  • Public Policy & Governance: Creating evidence-based collaboration with decision-makers
  • Education & Youth: Empowering student researchers and academic exchange
  • Culture & Diplomacy: Enhancing understanding through cultural and intellectual exchange programs

The Dialogue will continue in the form of roundtables, digital summits, joint research ventures, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The event was really beneficial especially for those are know less about AI tools and how to using them. At the event the downside of AI was discussed, which is not all the researchers aware of it. Besides, instructions for using Al to have a easier way to do research.
From my perspectives AI can be a useful tool to foster and save lots of time. You cannot relay on it for everything especially analysis and it can be useful to find articles for literature review.
Thank you for the event and thanks for the participants it was great to see researchers trying improve their skills.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for being an active participant in the Swedish Dialogue launch event.

I'm delighted to hear that you found the session beneficial, especially in exploring both the potential and the challenges of AI tools in research. One of our main goals was to foster greater awareness—highlighting not only what AI can accelerate, such as literature reviews and data extraction, but also where critical thinking and human expertise remain essential.

Your point about the importance of not relying solely on AI for every task, especially nuanced analysis, is very well taken. As discussed in the lecture, AI should be seen as a partner in the research workflow—streamlining repetitive tasks and opening up new possibilities, while still requiring researchers to provide context, judgment, and creativity.

We're excited to see researchers engaging, asking critical questions, and striving to improve their skills. The Swedish Dialogue is designed as a long-term platform for continued exchange and mutual support across sectors. I encourage you and all participants to keep sharing your experiences, challenges, and suggestions. This kind of open dialogue is exactly what drives responsible innovation and collaborative progress.

Thank you again for your engagement and for helping make the event a success. I look forward to future discussions and collaboration!
